I just got a CNN quick alert with this headline:
HALTED FOREIGN ADOPTIONS LEAVE WOULD-BE PARENTS IN LIMBO
The crib in Ellen Darcy's Boston home has sat empty for more than a year. And in suburban Washington, Laura Teresinski has prepared a nursery for a baby that may never arrive.

It totally freaked me out. Luckily we are not affected by this, but it opened my eyes to the fact that anything can happen. I can't imagine how this woman feels to have been matched with a child and started the emotional bonding process just to find out she may never get to be with her. My heart aches.

This could happen with us. We need to prepare for every worst case scenario.
That breaks my heart! It's so much work and hope and preparation to have that happen.
Oh- that is too sad. I once heard someone tell an mom who adopted her child that she was smart and had done it the "easy" way. Little did she know.
