Adoption Update
We both finally received our medial clearance from our doctors this week for our adoption paperwork process. It truly amazes me how much information you have to compile and submit. In some cases, it's doubled up with a US version of the information and a Chinese Government version of the information. We even had to find a "mobile notary" who could go with us to our doctors appointment. Picture this tiny medical room with Holly and her PCP, me and my PCP, and the notary all in each others personal spaces. I stood and had my arms folded, great body language I'm sure! Luckily Holly has a colleague at work who is a notary and assisted us in our time of need. All of this paperwork is now submitted to our adoption agency, and we are awaiting our appointment to be fingerprinted at the federal building for the final portion of USIS and Homeland Security clearance. Hopefully the dossier will get authored quickly and the clock will "officially" start ticking for our wait for our daughter in the very short term. Wish us luck!
