Of course Dan's family home is decked out to the hilt in country Christmas charm. With lights everywhere and a roaring fire it would get anyone into the Christmas spirit.

We had delicious food and fun visiting with everyone.

Christmas day is always spent with my family. I was so proud of my sisters two girls this year, they obeyed the "rules" that you don't get to go downstairs to see what Santa brought until all the adults are up and out of bed. They woke up at 7am and waited for the slow moving adults until almost 9am! That is pretty impressive for an 8 and 5 year old. Luckily they were well rewarded for their wait!
This is my favorite image. It is the oldest yelling out "Sweeeeet!" as she opened her gift.

We had a great time laughing opening gifts and playing with toys.

Not exactly sure why my mom had two bows stuck to her shirt...but we were all kind of laughing at her green boobs!

Later that night my brother, his wife and 4 girls came over so we could do the cousin and sibling gift exchange. I loved having 6 of my 7 nieces over and seeing the excitement in their eyes. Surprisingly enough there wasn't much chaos even with the snowed-in sleep over we had.

Presents aside, we had such a great time just spending it with each other. We love our families and cherish the memories we are able to share each time we visit. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

WOw. your nieces have grown since we met them last year. looks like a fun (and loud) Christmas morning.
I know, they grow up so fast! And actually, it really wasn't that loud of a Christmas morning. they were such good kids, I was impressed.
