Almost Christmas
I’m really looking forward to seeing family next week for Christmas. I love that we make the effort each year to be with both our families. Christmas still is bittersweet for me without my Mom around. She truly was Mrs. Santa Claus in more ways than a lot of people will ever know for the family and others. So many of the traditions my family does, stems from good memories and learning experiences with Mom and Dad. I keep reminding myself that she is missing us, as much as we miss her. It is still a little hard to accept the fact that Christmas will never quite be the same, but each year gets easier with the void of her not physically being around us. All of my siblings and I, have so many beautiful things in our homes to remind us of our various childhoods and Christmases we got to spent with our Mom. As I still try to understand why strokes are such a horrible epidemic many people are faced with, it’s the bigger picture that truly makes me happiest. I will get to see her again. All of us truly and sincerely believe this. And though, this upcoming Christmas with the family, still wont quite be the same without our Mom, life goes on and new memories are being established. We get to reflect on all the wonderful memories we have had, and look forward to the day where we can embrace again.

I'm not sure if this is Dan or his wife that lost their mom but I'm so sorry for the loss. A big part of Christmas's do come from our parents--especially our mom's. It's great that you have such good memories of her.
Dan, we moved to Kansas City almost 2 years ago and before that we were in Arizona for 3 years. BJ works for a large construction company training all of their offices on a software that he used in Arizona. He's actually an accountant and is "supposed" to move back into that role eventually but I don't see it in the near future. He has a lot of work to do before that time comes. We have 4 kids- Cardon, Brinly, Amelia and Jace (ages 2-8). We're doing great and feel blessed. What's up in your world? I'm so happy to hear from you. Karina
Whenever I think of Christmas I totally think of Aunt Sherry and new dolls on Christmas morning. I remember coming down to your house as a child and seeing what everyone got for Christmas... I remember everyone had their own little pile of preasents... and I remember the huge Christmas Stocking that was your Dads... I miss your mom too and think of her often... Hugs and Kisses... and hopefully we can see you while you are down here...
