S'Mores Anyone?

We have been spending quite a bit of time in our outdoor courtyard, getting all the weeds out and priming the place, for summer entertaining.

We finally purchased some good alien soil and miracle grow, and our herb containers finally shot up and are growing a ton. With the exception of one pot of thyme. Nothing ever goes 100%, but 4 out of 5 pots is not bad. I'll take an 80% return on investment any day.

We planted some succulents for a table top flat container, and put a bunch of new local climate grasses and river rocks by the pine tree and under the front stairway. This should hopefully alleviate some of the weed and clover issues we've had as of late. Or, at least make weeding under the stairway more bearable.

We opted for a outdoor fire-pit as well. I'm looking forward to lighting a fire and dining outside, or having friends over for late evening appetizers or desserts by the fire and under all the candle lanterns we hang in the open umbrella and trees.

With the current weather we've been having in Seattle, you would think it is still winter here. I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I will gladly take cooler weather over heat any day. But, we are hoping to see the sun again sometime soon.

It's looking good!

And "Keri" was just recently introduced to s'mores this last weekend on a Girls Scout Brownie field trip she had. She loved them!

ooooooh, s'mores! Those sound great! I love entertaining in our yard, my favorite time is the 10 seconds of peace between buses.

Love your spot of earth! I'm a huge fan of outdoor spaces. And I really love succulents. Mine have flourished since our move from the windy, polluted Greenwood balcony. :)
