Bread & Butter Pickles

So, my "Mormon Canning Genes" came out this weekend and I decided to make a batch of Bread & Butter Pickles. This is a family recipe that was a staple in our household. I pickled a vat of cucumbers, onions and red bell peppers. Beep was not happy that the whole house was permeated with the smell of vinegar. We opened all the windows. I'm impressed with how these turned out and look forward to snacking on them in the months ahead.

If people are on our "naughty, but nice" list, they may get a jar for Christmas this year!

That is so not fair. I LOVE B&B pickles, but they're off my list due to sugar content.
We too had the annual pickle canning gig. My Dad would complain that the house turned into McDonalds Wineger Vorks, We kids love to help make them. But eatin' 'em was really where it was at.

I have never heard of B&B pickles. We'll have to take them with us to France and open a jar on the plane!
