Adoption Update
We are coming upon our 1 year mark of waiting patiently...okay, just waiting. We've just found out that we have paperwork that is expiring so are working on updating our homestudy. I thought renewing paperwork would be more tedious than it is, actually it's been going pretty quickly, we are just a doctor visit and fingerprints away from being current. On the wait front, currently families that were matched with children have waited 42 months. Boo.

thank you for the update. it's nice to hear what is going on even if it's just about paperwork. i felt much more at ease when my paperwork was updated after a year on LDSFS. when evan was born we were weeks away from our second update. now... we are about to call and put our paperwork back in for a second child. it really does seem like yesterday. sad as it is.
it will be worth every prayer, every thought, every impatience, every irritation cause each day you spend wanting your child and wishing to finally get to be a parent, is another day of planning how loving and patient you will be for her once in your arms. you don't have to read about it but think of all the very best things in your life that made you happy and feel loved and give it to her when you have her. ahhh... it will be here soon enough. i can't wait to meet whomever she may be too! ;)
Congrats on the one year mark! I think it is utterly and completely lame that they make you wait so long. But having waited a long time myself I can tell you that once you get your little one it will feel like you were never without him/her. I'm so excited for you guys!
