We both had a great time in Salt Lake City visiting our families and visiting with friends. It was extremely cold, but we had a blast getting caught up with everyone. To me, it always seems that the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season makes it go by so quickly. Christmas comes and goes so fast that I often times look back and wonder where 10/31-12/25 goes every year?
At my sister Mel's house she has this Charlie Brown Christmas tree. I got thinking, while I took this picture, that Christmas simply put is being with family and loved ones. Everything else aside, this is what all my memories and experiences are built on. Craven family traditions, VanOrman family traditions, Finlayson and Sansom family traditions are converging to create a legacy in my life with Holly, and the life we'll give to our child down the road. That is what Christmas is all about.

This is so true! I can't tell you very many gifts I've received over the years, but I cherish memories with family and friends. Thanks for the great reminder!
