Today I saw some wonderful mobiles by Alexander Calder. I loved the variety in scale, shape and color, but I especially loved how gracefully they moved in the slight breeze. The image above is a miniature, which I didn't notice on my first trip through the exhibit. It is so cute to me.
I wandered around the rest of the floors on my way out of the museum and love that the last thing I saw was a Frankenthaler. One of her works was the first piece I ever fell in love with at the SAM and I'm happy that I ended today on the same note.

I need to go. I've never been to the new SAM yet. I've been to SAM Taste, the eatery, but have not roamed the galleries yet...
confession: I didn't go to SAM while we were up there for school. Even when they had an Impressionism exhibit come through.
Fact: I regret it very much.
Pathetic Plan: When we visit there next, I would like to go there, this time, as a tourist. I'll even bring a map and perhaps wear a fanny pack...
Do they still have the "Crashing Ford" in the sky?? I personally made the lines that are holding up the cars, so don't stand under it.
