No pictures, no frills. I just have to say, I'm really excited for Christmas!!! Last night Dan and I finished packaging up candy boxes and writing out Christmas cards and prepping packages to mail out. It feels really good to have all of our projects out of the way so I can focus more on the spirit of Christmas instead of all the hustle and bustle.
Last night Dan and I spent a few minutes with nothing but the Christmas lights on. It was so nice to see the glow in the room which warmed my heart. Its not the pretty bobbles on the tree or any ornaments that I love when I look at the tree and smile, it is the warmth and memories I have of every Christmas past in my life of loving and laughing with my family.
I love that we are able to go home and spend time with family, the most important thing in my life is my family. Dan, my parents, my in-laws, all my siblings and sibling-in-laws, nieces and nephews, all those with us and those not. I felt a pang of guilt as I wrote out cards to friends I haven't talked to since last Christmas, and family I haven't seen in years. So I know it's a little early for resolutions, but I really want to make 2010 a better year at keeping in touch with my family and extended family.
I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and are able to spend it with the important people in your life.

Cuddling under the blankets, enjoying the silence of the night, and the reflection of light was very nice. It always makes me think of all those Christmas pasts with family as well, and learning new traditions. This is why I love this time of year so much...
What a nice way to spend the evening! Maybe Patrick and I will get lights and ornaments on the tree tonight so we can enjoy the same kind of experience.
Merry Christmas, Holly and Dan.
