Major Accomplishments!
This weekend we celebrated 2 major accomplishments, 1- Dan ran his fastest half marathon 2- I finished my quilt!!! Okay, so my accomplishment isn't quite as grand as Dan's but I'm still super proud of myself for FINALLY finishing it. I don't even want to tell you when I started this, honestly I can't even remember it's so embarrassing. I want to thank Kelly and Rebecca for helping me with lessons, advice and supplies I couldn't have done it without them! Here are some photos.

Wow, Holly, it is beautiful!!!
Wow! That is incredible, Holly. And as someone who knows what an accomplishment finishing a quilt is (and I think Dan wouldn't knock your feat), your completing this project took as much brain energy, focus, stride, patience, and follow-through as a half-marathon does (just minus the physical part!). Great job-this is something you can look always at proudly (or cuddle under) and enjoy. And pass down to posterity!
DITTO to what Lefty said!!!!! Way to go!!!!!!
Holly -- your accomplishment is just as big as Dan's! Having married into a family of quilters, I can understand the years-long process of finishing a quilt. It looks beautiful!!
Looks beautiful honey. Will make a nice addition to our home. Time to start on the next one. Is "Drunk Love" next on your list?
what!? embarrassed? you gotta be crazy if you think pioneers finished quilts quickly. :) my sister was inspired by a quilt my husband's grandmother made and started it 14 years ago just by looking at it. I'm pretty positive she still isn't finished but it's a beautiful labor of love and every triangle on hers (also has triangles) is a different fabric from her life. some scraps from her kids clothes or her old prom dress etc but she is in love with it still and her children will cherish it... as will your posterity. :) they will be so proud of both of you for every think you have done and will do. hey, i feel like "i" want to be ya'll's baby. :) i'd be spoiled to death. he he he.
Oh Holly it is beauuuuuutiful! I don't care how long it took to finish. Well worth the wait.
That is awesome Holly! I have about 20 pair of levi's that I'm debating on making a quilt with. Obviously nothing near as extravagant as that. Very cool!
