Germany is known for it's sausages, brats, beer, kraut and spaetzle. The types of sausages I've had here at home don't even compare to how good the sausage was in Europe. The veal options were my favorite.

Cheese, glorious cheese spaetzle. Holly and I both consumed a lot of this while we were there. I even mixed sauerkraut into mine. I love salty and sour foods best.

Huge Rittersport German chocolate for dirt cheap in the grocery stores.

A Swiss confection shop store front window. Amazing.

The traditional "Bern" or bear in Bern Switzerland. These came in dark, milk and white. Watching them dip chocolates in the store windows gave me some great ideas for my annual chocolate making for Christmas. Holly and I even picked up some great new candy & chocolate molds while in Switzerland.

Truffles.

Nut concoctions.

More glorious truffles.

Patrick & Noelle in Bern at a fantastic bar.

The King & Queen of America at the same bar.

The four of us getting ready to consume COPIOUS amounts of cured meats, cheeses, salad and of course raclette.

I probably consumed a gallon of mineral water daily. One must always stay hydrated. Any my picky palette prefers gas over still.

Store front in an Interlakken Switzerland bakery.

Moo! Moo! Moo! In solid milk chocolate please...

The Burg Burger nasty meal we had in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

Famous Dornbirn Austria Restaurant we ate at. One of the best meals of the trip. This was the night we came across the local pumpkin festival. All the restaurants and bakeries were featuring pumpkin foods.

I had AMAZING spicy pumpkin soup.

Holly had super tasty pumpkin risotto with roasted pumpkin wedges.

I had a fantastic meal in Oberramergau [HELL, I have no idea how to spell this], Germany. The roasted tomatoes with cheese and bread crumbs. Spaetzle, and beer braised pork totally hit the spot.

A "cookie ball" shop we ran across outside of Fussen Germany. The store front was quaint, and the display was very inviting. I thought they were dry and not the best tasting thing I've ever consumed. The concept was neat though.

I tried my first bag of roasted chestnuts from a street vendor. Definitely an acquired taste. Didn't hate it. But don't need to try them again anytime soon. Interesting texture.

The famous "Mozart" fondant filled chocolate balls. These were everywhere in Salzburg Austria.

No vacation is complete without sampling all the local baked goods. All four of us consumed our fair share of street vendor pretzels. My favorite that I picked up often was the parmesan and ham pretzel with spicy mustard.
