The Peace Scriptures Bring
Holly and I, recently finished a 3-year deep dive study of the Old Testament. We utilized the church seminary and institute manuals to augment our studies. I must say, I've only read the bible cover to cover twice. Once as a 19yo missionary, and this second time with Holly in our family household scripture studies. I learned a tremendous amount of information, both secular and spiritual in nature. As well as LDS and non-LDS viewpoints on the various subject matter. On that same vein, I finished the Book of Mormon again last night, and I love that I have multiple scriptural volumes to enhance my spiritual learning. I've read the New Testament and Book of Mormon numerous times and always learn something new each time I read those volumes that I can apply to my personal life from the ministry of Jesus Christ and his apostles, prophets and followers. I'm grateful for continued revelation and the knowledge that God does have a modern-day prophet on this earth, and communication with God the Father, and his son Jesus Christ, has not ceased. The heavens are not closed, and never have been closed to our own personal revelation, if we just ask them for their guidance in our lives, and include them in our daily decision making.

I add my gratitude to yours--I also know they come from God. What a great thing that you did that in the three years prior to this year's study of it in Sunday School. I can only imagine how prepared you'll be to study with a group.
Dan, I have enjoyed reading many recent entries on your blog. I'll be checking it out on a regular basis! Love it! Lori K. in SC
