Homemade Organic Yogurt
After numerous tries, some great and some total disasters, I've finally gotten my homemade yogurt recipe exactly to where I want it. The correct texture, flavor, tartness and sweetness. My batch from this past weekend is the best yet. It all has to do with the quality of the milk I'm using to start the culture, as well as the quality of the other ingredients. I don't sweeten it with sugar at all. I do all the sweetening with honey and a little pure vanilla. I'm enjoying this with some diced apple and grape nuts. I'm pleasantly surprised that using organic milk made all the difference in the final product. I need to not squawk or complain about the cost, when the end result is so much better, and all the more healthier for me/us in the long run.

We have found that organic milk lasts longer than conventional milk. So, if you do a life cycle cost analysis I bet you'll find that the organic option may break even with the regular.
I still haven't tried this latest batch...I was freaked out before when it was runny. Maybe I'll have to give it a try.
