Me and My Mom at Grandpa & Grandma Craven's, Summer 1977. I'm just over 2 years old. Mom is expecting my younger sister Gretchen and is approaching age 37. Beautiful, healthy and vibrant. The way I will always remember her in my heart.
Miss Me – But Let Me Go
Author Unknown
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little – but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me – but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me – But Let me Go!

A candid shot of me and my Mom on mine & Holly's wedding Day, November 1999.
Happy Mother's Day Mom! We love and miss you terribly! Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reminds me of you, or think of a wonderful memory we shared. I spend more and more time in the kitchen as I get older, feeling closer to you, cooking all your recipes and sharing amazing food with my friends. Thank you for sharing all your amazing talents with your children.

What a beautiful post. I love the poem. Thanks for sharing and I hope you and Holly have a happy mother's day.
i always love to hear what you have to say about your mother, it's always a joy. I am grateful you have found a way to live through her but also share it with all of us.... by the way... you made a beautiful 2 year old. :) happy mother's day to that cute little lady you married. she is going to be a vision of motherhood (i'm pretty sure she practices successfully already) xoxo
