I'm pretty excited for the first harvest of my organic cherry tomato "crop." I've been referring to my one contained tomato plant as my crop. Sounds like I have a whole farm in my front yard. I don't!
I planted an heirloom variety that when ripe, are swirled with shades of light green, yellows and oranges. I now need to decide what I want to make with these as I keep picking them. Popping them in my mouth for a snack is fine, but I'm thinking more along the lines of some tomato chutney, tomato salsa or even some tomato jam to spread on a a toasted multi-grain bagel with some cream cheese. We'll see. The possibilities are endless.
